SOGEOH launched the “Challenge Entrepreneurs: the gems of the Senegal River basin” competition to support young entrepreneurs and unlock the economic potential of the Senegal River basin.
Around twenty candidates took part in this first edition, of whom three winners were selected. The overall winner, Souleymane Camara, took first prize with his aquaponics project combining fish farming and vegetable growing in Dalaba.
The initiative responds to the OMVS High Commissioner's concerns regarding youth employability and the preservation of the Senegal River ecosystems.
