A word from the Managing Director

Welcome to the official website of the Energy Management Company for the Upper Basin Facilities of the Senegal River (SOGEOH).

SOGEOH is a strategic instrument of the Organisation for the Development of the Senegal River (OMVS), created to ensure the development, operation, maintenance and sustainable use of the Upper Basin's energy infrastructure. Our ambition is to contribute to deeper regional integration, to the energy security of our member states and to a lasting improvement in the living conditions of our populations.

SOGEOH is today embracing a new momentum built on innovation, operational excellence, the energy transition and the mobilisation of strategic partnerships. Through our “Corridor Vert OMVS 2040” vision, we are carrying an ambitious portfolio of hydropower, solar and transmission projects intended to make the Upper Basin a genuine regional hub for clean, reliable and competitive energy.

This website is intended as a platform for reference, transparency and dialogue. You will find here our missions, our projects, our achievements, our partnership opportunities as well as information on the governance and the life of our institution.

On behalf of all SOGEOH staff, I thank you for your interest and invite you to support our commitment to building — with the member states, technical and financial partners and the private sector — a sustainable energy future serving regional integration and the development of the OMVS area.

Together, let us make energy a driver of shared prosperity.
